Tune into our Facebook page on Wednesday evenings at 6 PM Eastern time for The Big Show. Senior Warden Ron Smith and Kelly Meacham host an informal, fun, and sometimes fact-filled show that we describe as a virtual parish gathering. It's a chance for all of us to gather and have a little fun during these challenging times.
Compline
Join us Thursday evenings at 8 pm est for Compline worship. This service is streamed on our Facebook page. Kelly Meacham leads this sevice. You can follow along in the Book of Common Prayer, or just join in and listen.
Why Compline?
Compline was a service to close the day, an opportunity to give thanks for the joys and graces experienced, a chance to confess the (many) sins committed throughout the day, and the perfect moment to close the day the same way it started: in doxological prayer. If Morning Prayer—or whatever service you use to begin your day—is designed to start the day off right then Compline is designed to end it well.

We extend a warm invitation to all to join us at St. John's for worship, encouraging attendance "as you are." Although we do not have a resident priest, our services are conducted by lay ministers who adhere to the approved liturgy of the Episcopal Church. We utilize a modified Morning Prayer service, incorporating the current Revised Common Lectionary to ensure alignment with the readings of other congregations when we have visiting clergy. This service is sometimes referred to as Ante-Communion. While the sacrament of communion may not be administered, participants will be nourished spiritually through the Word of God.
