Plan A Visit

No Matter what age, stage or season of life you find yourself in, we would like to welcome you to St. John’s for a visit. We invite you to come as you are, where you are in life and be a part of a community of people striving together to find God’s purpose and plan for their lives. We know that a first time visit to a new place might be intimidating, and that worship in the Episcopal Church can be confusing for a newcomer. But, we promise to make every effort to make you welcome. Please feel free to immerse yourself as comfortably as you feel compelled. Our services are laid out in a bulletin that you will be provided with by the ushers as you enter the front door. The services are in our Book of Common Prayer.

Parking and entrance

Limited parking can be found in front of the church. Additional parking is on the side near Roberts Hall. The main entrance to the church in in front with a ramp assisted entrance on the side. One or two ushers are always out front to greet guests.

St. John’s is now open for in-person worship. We are using spacing and social distancing protocols. Morning Prayer Services are at 10:00 a:m each Sunday Morning. All are welcome. This is the House of The Lord.

The Big Show

Please tune into our Facebook page on Wednesday evenings at 6 P.M Eastern time for The Big Show. Our Senior Warden Ron Smith and Kelly Meacham host an informal, fun and sometimes fact filled show that we describe as a sort of virtual Parish gathering. It’s a chance for all of us to gather and have a little fun during these trying times.

Compline

Join us Thursday evenings at 8 pm est for Compline worship. This service is streamed on our Facebook page. Kelly Meacham leads this sevice. You can follow along in the Book of Common Prayer, or just join in and listen.

Why Compline?

Compline was a service to close the day, an opportunity to give thanks for the joys and graces experienced, a chance to confess the (many) sins committed throughout the day, and the perfect moment to close the day the same way it started: in doxological prayer. If Morning Prayer—or whatever service you use to begin your day—is designed to start the day off right then Compline is designed to end it well.






Bible Studies That Work

Please join us on our Facebook page each Sunday Morning at 9:00 a:m for a Bible study on the lessons and Gospel for the day. You can find the readings for the Sunday Morning services on our Facebook page, or The Lectionary Page.
